SD and SDHC compliance
If your computer's internal card reader works with 2GB or lower SD cards but fails to read a 4GB or higher SDHC card, then the computer's internal reader is not SDHC compliant.

If your computer's card reader is not SDHC compatible, you have 3 options available:
1. You can connect your camera (or other device) that works with SDHC to your computer using a USB cable that came with the camera. You should be able to transfer files to the computer this way.
2. Check your computer brand/model if it can be capable to have an SDHC application.
3. You can buy inexpensive SDHC card readers that will connect to your computer's USB port.

Can’t Transfer a 4GB or larger file to a USB flash drive or memory card?
This is due to FAT32 limitation. Files larger than 4GB can NOT be stored on a FAT32 volume. Formatting the flash drive as exFAT or NTFS will resolve this issue.
WARNING: Backup your data. Formatting will delete all the data in your device.

Format in exFAT
exFAT file system that allows a single file larger than 4GB to be stored on the device. This file system is also compatible with Mac.

Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.6.6 and higher are compatible with exFAT out of the box. Older operating systems may need a patch installed for exFAT compatibility.

1. Double-click on My Computer.
2. Right-click on the flash drive or memory card, then select Format.
3. In the File System list, click exFAT.
4. Click Start.
5. Click OK to start formatting.
NOTE: exFAT file system is NOT compatible with some host devices such as TV, game systems, older operating systems, car stereos etc.

Format in NTFS
Optimize the flash drive for performance first:
1. Plug in the device to the PC.
2. Open the Computer Management Console
       a) Windows 8
       b) Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7
3. On the Left side select Device Manager
4. On the right side expand Disk Drives
5. Right-click on the flash drive, then select Properties.
6. Click the Policy tab.
7. Select Optimize for performance, then click OK.

Format the flash drive
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Right-click on the flash drive, then select Format.
3. In the File system list, click NTFS.
4. Click Start.
5. Click OK to start formatting.
Note:
- Formatting the device as NTFS will make it unwriteable on a Mac computer. Most Mac computers can read NTFS, but not write.
- NTFS is a journaled file system, this creates more read/write activities. Therefore, it MAY decrease life expectancy of your device.
- Once the device is formatted as NTFS, you MUST use "Safely Remove Hardware" to remove your device.

How to Partition a Memory Card or a USB Flash Drive
If your memory card or USB flash drive is showing the file system is RAW this means the partition is corrupt or missing. In order to format the card/USB drive you will first need to create a new partition.

Create a new partition or logical drive on a basic disk:
Open the Computer Management Console and on the left side select Disk Management
1. In the Disk Management window, complete one of the following procedures, and then continue:
    - To create a new partition, right-click unallocated or RAW space on the basic disk where you want to create the partition, and then click New Partition (Win XP) or New Simple Volume (Win Vista, 7 and 8).
2. In the New Partition Wizard click Next
3. For the partition or volume size use the default settings which will create a single partition on the card/USB drive. Click Next
4. Assign a drive letter for the card/USB drive (make sure to select a drive letter not currently being used by another drive).
5. Choose the file system in which you would like to format the card/USB drive. I would recommend FAT32 or exFAT. Click Next
6. Click Finish to complete partitioning and formatting the drive

First Method:
1. First of all download ES file explorer from the store and open it.

4. Open that file with notepad on your PC.
5. After opening the file, you will able to see your password there.
6. Now apply that password to open your locked memory card.

Second Method:
If the above method is not working, then you can follow this method. Follow this method when you only want to recover memory card, because with this method we are going to format the memory card:
1. Insert that locked the memory card to your phone.
2. Now connect your phone to the PC via data cable.
3. Now right click on the memory card drive and then select the format (it will not ask for password).
